Timbermann uses only SABS (Grade5) certified CCA (H4) grade pressure treated structural timbers
The H4 Grade treated timbers have a SABS Certified 'in-ground' life expectancy of 25 years - no further treatment or maintenance! This is not typical in Gauteng, where H3 spec timbers, and even raw timbers painted with Creosote or the like are generally used We regularly replace such installations as those structures often only last a few years Treatment of the timber deck surfaces is equally important. Our timber treatments are not brush-on, but submerged (dip-treated) in preservative oils which contain insecticides, fungicides and rot inhibitors - offering the very best in protection.
